Job Summary
The Sales Support Engineer is responsible for the supporting the needs of the Affiliate Sales Department and Content Services Department along with promoting, owning the tech relationship, and selling Avail-TVN products/services.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Attend client meetings (in many cases with Sales Representative), present, and/or respond to questions regarding all technical aspects of the Avail-TVN business
- Proactively meet with Affiliate Operations and Engineers and communicate all activity tothe Sales Representative
- Maintain technical relationship of all Avail-TVN Affiliates and Content Providers
- Work with Sales and Marketing Departments to create, organize, and disseminate Avail-TVNproduct information
- Organize, manage, and perform live demonstration of Avail-TVN products at trade shows,user conferences, road shows, etc.
- Gatherclient needs and advise on the development of new products and services
- Manage customer driven projects and trials
- Obtain periodic updates from the Operations Department and explain operational issues in client meeting
- Create Bill of Materials, quotes, channel lineup analysis, IRD authorizations, etc. for new launches
- Assist in creating technical documentation, including bids, and ensure format consistency
Your Qualifications
| Minimum Requirements |
- Minimum 5 year background in Cable Television and/or Telco video environments
- Minimum of vocational or technical training in the television cable or broadcast field is required
- Must have good presentation and communication skills
- Must have the ability to learn and adapt in a continuously changing environment, must be able to gain a broad knowledge of, and subsequently explain, all of the technology in use at Avail-TVN
- Must be computer literate and familiar with Windows based applications
- Must be able to work closely with other departments effectively
